Our solution strives to stop these frauds as much as possible before any real damage can be done.
Q: What permissions do I as a user need to give this app to help me? A: Firstly, we are founders with extensive security and privacy background. We don't store any data and dont track any users. We use AI to detect frauds and discard that information after providing the end result of a fraud or not. Kavach Digital app uses the accessibility permission and Read SMS permission to scan your incoming SMS messages and detect potential frauds and scams.
Q: Why does this app need the accessibility permission and Read SMS permission? A: The accessibility permission is a permission that allows to read the URL in real time when a user visits the website. Currently this is the only permission available to carry out this function and we DONOT take ANY control of the device. We ONLY use a small part of it to real the current URL to use AI on it and mark it as fraud if it is. The default android notification that the app is taking full control of the device is alarming and we would like to reiterate that the app does NOT take ANY control at all. We only scan the URL at run time. Read SMS permission is needed to access your SMS inbox to again only read patterns using machine learning. These permissions are required for the app to be able to scan your messages for potential frauds and scams.

Q: Is this app free to use? A: We charge an extremely nominal amount to keep our systems up and running. We don't want to make this free as it will need us to show ads to sustain and that would involve selling of data which we are very much against. Our founders are from the security and privacy background and believe that privacy is our right.
